How to get to Chepelare

Getting to Chepelare by bus is easy if you are in Sofia or Plovdiv. The trip from Sofia takes about three and a half hours. You can take any of the buses from Sofia bus station to Smolyan, Zlatograd, Madan and Rudozem. All of them pass through Chepelare. The times of departure are from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. In the afternoon the buses run every hour.

If you are in Plovdiv, the trip to Chepelare will take just two hours. There are buses that pass through Chepelare, you can take one of them: from Plovdiv to Madan, Zlatograd, Banite, Rudozem, Shiroka Laka, Smolyan, Nedelino, Momchilovtsi or Pamporovo. All departure times are about noon: from 11.30 a.m. to 2.45 p.m.
