Skiing in Panichishte
Panichishte resort has 6 ski runs with different difficulty. Bekyara Ski Run is 580 m long. It is equipped with a drag lift with capacity of 280 people per hour. The base of this tow-lift is situated near the Elenite Restaurant.
Azhdena Ski Run is 400 m long. It has a drag lift with capacity of 250 people per hour. Azhdena Ski Run includes the resort’s Baby Ski Run.
Panichishte has a cross-country track. It is located just below the Dry Lake training area. This run will soon be equipped with shooting platforms for biathlon training.
There is a ski run near Pionerska Chalet. It is 400 m long with a drag lift with capacity of 350 people hour. This run includes a sledding run of 1130 m.
There is a run near the Seven Rila Lakes Chalet, which is 950 m long. The run has a tow-bar drag with capacity of 700 people per hour.
Panichishte resort provides ski equipment rentals as well as tuition by qualified ski instructors.
A new lift is expected to connect Pionerska Chalet to Seven Rila Lakes Chalet, with total length of 2200 m and capacity of 960 people per hour.
Apart from ski runs, equipment and facilities, Panichishte provides excellent conditions for physical training in all varieties of sports. The resort is situated at 1300 to 1600 m altitude. There are Alpine ski-tracks for sleigh contests and training.
The Dry Lake training area gives perfect conditions for sportsmen in basketball, football, volleyball and others for physical training. The local hotels have swimming pools and tennis courts available to competitors in swimming and tennis.
