Places to visit in Uzana
The location of Uzana resort makes it a place for keen nature-lovers. There are venerable oak tree forests, wild animals and plants as well as rare floral species included in the Red book. Mountain hikers can take one of the many mountain routes that start from Uzana, i.e. to the mountain tops of Shipka and Buzludzha.
Tourists can hire a motor sleigh in the winter and enjoy a speed run in the fluffy snow.In the summer the more adventurous visitors can try speleology and rock climbing. People who like cultural tours can visit the nearby open-air ethnographic museum Etara where they can learn more about Bulgarian arts and crafts. Other opportunities for culture lovers are Sokolovski Monastery, which is situated several kilometers away from Uzana, and two of Bulgaria’s renaissance towns, Bozhentsi and Tryavna, which are also not very far. Tourists can see unique architecture and feel the spirit of the past centuries there.
